With Thanksgiving now behind us and Christmas and the New Year ahead, it is easy to often move past the celebration of this past weekend and turn our attention to the rest of the holiday season. We tend to focus on the "here and now," with things like shopping (and wrapping, my least favorite thing about the Christmas season) for gifts, spending time with friends and family, travel, and many other time-consuming ventures consuming our calendar and pocketbooks.
Living in the United States, we have so many things to be thankful for that could never be covered in a single writing. To put things in a bit of context however, I thought it would be perhaps entertaining and enlightening to share the perspective of Brian Wesbury, the Chief Economist of First Trust, who highlights why he believes we have so much to be thankful for and why there is no better time to be alive. The link to his post is here.
As we all enter into a busy time of year with many different obligations and responsibilities vying for our attention, I hope the article serves as a brief reminder for how blessed we are, and there is much to be thankful for. We at Impel Wealth Management are grateful and thankful for our families, friends, and clients whom we have the pleasure of serving and helping "Move Life Forward."
